The high school JV Coach is responsible for coordinating the JV sports. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Be responsible for the supervision of their respective coaching duties.
- Attend staff meetings called by the principal, athletic director, or head coach.
- If a JV coach, coordinate all the activities of the JV team. This would include things such as practice schedules, issuing, taking care of and collecting equipment, arranging for transportation to away games, monitoring their team members’ academic progress during the entire school year, securing personnel such as managers and game scorers, supervising athletes after a practice or game until all athletes are off school grounds,etc.
- Scouting of opponents when possible.
- Treat all injuries in the absence of the trainer.
- All other duties, within reason, assigned by the head coach.
